Small town Ellijay in the North Georgia mountains offers more than fresh air and breath
taking views. It holds the titles of Mountain Bike Capital as well as the Apple Capital
of Georgia, featuring the Apple Festival in October. When we last did a wine trip here several years ago, we visited three wonderful vineyards. New wineries are popping up, and this years’ fall trip will visit two new ones and an old favorite (that happens to also be an official Monarch Waystation for migrating butterflies). We will enjoy sipping wine at all three vineyards (Meichtry Vineyard, Roo Vineyard, and Ott Vineyard and Winery) and have lunch at the second.
This day trip by coach will be Thursday, November 7, 2024 for up to 40 fun loving OLLI members. Peak leaf color is an added bonus.
$170 per person (cost includes luxury motorcoach transportation, wine tastings, and lunch).
