Giving to OLLI

OLLI@UGA is fortunate to have an endowment from the Osher Foundation, as well as operational support from the University of Georgia and the College of Education and the support and time of our own OLLI members.  The money OLLI receives from the Osher endowment only covers a quarter of our annual expenses. As a result, we must raise extra funds from membership dues, course and travel fees, and donations from members and corporate sponsors. More than 90% of the money collected goes to OLLI’s programs with less than 10% being used for administrative or overhead costs.

OLLI@UGA is a community in which Athenians who are age 50 and older can thrive, learn and continue to explore this world. OLLI appreciates every gift, no matter the size.

Kroger and Amazon offer customers great programs to support non-profits of their choosing simply by shopping! OLLI@UGA is one of the organizations eligible to receive these corporate charitable donations based on your purchases—at no extra cost to you!

Did you know you can leave a lasting legacy through OLLI@UGA?

There are many types of planned gifts that will allow you to continue to support OLLI, while lowering the tax burden on you and your heirs. The most common type of planned gift is a bequest in your will or living trust, but your financial advisor can outline other options.

Please contact OLLI@UGA executive director Tim Meehan, (706) 542-7715, for more information about giving to the program, either as a planned gift for later or a major gift now.

OLLI@UGA is housed and supported by the College of Education.
