Get Involved With OLLI@UGA!

OLLI@UGA is a member-led organization with a small paid staff. Thus, our volunteers play a very important role in the organization. We have plenty of interesting opportunities for volunteer engagement, whether it is in curriculum, marketing, travel/study, social events…the list goes on!

OLLI@UGA is fortunate to have members with a variety of skills and interests. We also know that they lead busy lives, so opportunities for volunteer engagement vary in both time commitment and organizational area. We have something for just about everyone.

Short-term opportunities

OLLI Angels help out in the OLLI Office on an as-needed basis. Tasks include working on mailings, putting presenter packets together, proofreading, some typing and emailing. All skill levels are welcome! When these short-term assignments arise, the OLLI Office puts out a call to the OLLI Angels. If you are not available, no worries! We will call you again! Working as an Angel is a great way to get to know other members and learn more about the organization.

Class facilitators communicate with class members and the presenter, introduce and assist the presenter, and generally assure the smooth flow of the class. No stress involved, no experience required! And, facilitators are assured a seat in high-demand classes.

OLLI Committees

Our member-led committees also provide ample opportunity for engagement. And, committee membership offers one-time and on-going assignments, too. Our committees offer something for every skill-set and every schedule.
