Join OLLI member, Mony Abrol, on November 7 as he hosts a day trip to the Hindu Temple (BAPS Shri Swaminarayan mandir) in Lilburn, GA. Members will depart from Athens at 9:30 AM and arrive in time to attend the 11 AM service. Following the service, members will have time to explore

the temple architecture and construction before boarding the bus for a short ride to a fine Indian restaurant in Lilburn where Mony has arranged for the group to enjoy lunch. The group will return to Athens around 3:30 PM.

Entering the temple requires climbing a number of steps and then removing your shoes. Since the marble floors are both hard and cold it is recommended that members wear or bring heavy socks. Admission to the temple service is free but everyone is asked to bring a donation of two cans of Vegetarian food (i.e. canned vegetables, fruit) in lieu of an entrance fee.

The cost of this trip, including the bus and driver tip is $70. Lunch will be at participants’ own expense based on their menu selection.
